Growing your own shiitake mushrooms is as simple as it is satisfying:

🌞 Prepare the Log: Carefully remove the log wrapping & soak log in cold water for 24 hours. Place your inoculated shiitake log on provided grow plate in a shaded area, like a balcony or garden, away from direct sunlight. Keep it elevated off the ground using the bamboo resting sticks. Cover with your humidity bag and let the magic begin...
💧 Maintain Moisture: Mist the log 2–3 times daily to maintain humidity, especially during dry spells.
🍴 Harvest Time: Within 7–14 days, small mushroom pins will appear. Harvest when the caps are fully expanded but still curved. Use a knife to cut at the base.
⏳ Rest & Repeat: After each harvest, let the log rest for 6–8 weeks before soaking again for another fruitful cycle! 🔹 While some logs may produce a second flush or third, others may not—this is due to the nature of shiitake mushroom fruiting cycles.
